Joey and Melissa Maggiore mix like pizza and chocolate, but that won't stop the siblings from making their new Italian restaurant in Carlsbad, Calif., a rousing success. That's their goal, at least, the pursuit of which is followed in this reality series. Joey's an off-the-cuff kind of guy, a prankster, while Melissa is a hardworking traditionalist. Thus, they rarely see eye to eye. Add an untrained staff and an overwhelmed kitchen, and the challenge to succeed as restaurateurs will be formidable.
Joey is opening the flagship restaurant in his chain of barbecue restaurants. Melissa is auditioning executive chefs for her full service eatery.
